What is Viala?
Viala is an AI travel companion that turns a destination into a day-by-day itinerary in minutes. You answer a short questionnaire, swipe through suggested experiences, and end up with a trip you can edit, share and use on the go.
Is Viala free to use?
Yes, Viala is free to use. You can plan trips, use What's Nearby, share with travel partners, and track and split expenses without paying.
How does Viala build a trip?
After a short questionnaire about your destination, style, pace and budget, the AI proposes activities, stays and spots. You swipe to keep what fits and skip what doesn't. Your saved picks become the itinerary.
What's "What's Nearby"?
It's a way to find something worth doing around you, without planning a trip at all. Share your location or pick a spot, choose when and what you're in the mood for, and browse AI-ranked places nearby. Your exact location is only used for that search and is never saved.
Can I plan a trip with friends or my partner?
Yes. Share a trip with travel partners so everyone can add and edit activities together, and changes sync in real time. You can also invite people into a nearby search to browse suggestions together, or share a trip by QR code or import ID if you'd rather not link accounts.
Can I edit the itinerary after the AI generates it?
Yes. Reorder activities, move them between days, add your own spots and adjust anything you want. The AI gives you a starting point; the final plan is yours.
Does Viala book flights or hotels?
No, Viala doesn't book travel directly. It helps you plan and organize, and you book through your preferred providers.
Does Viala work offline?
You need a connection to plan trips and activities and to sync updates. Once a trip has loaded, its basic details stay viewable offline.
How do I track expenses?
Log spending during the trip in the expenses section. You can also split costs between travel partners so it's clear who paid what and who still owes whom. Everything stays in one place, so your real spending stays right next to your budget.
How is my data used?
We use your data only to make the app work: building your trip, syncing it across devices and matching you to relevant experiences. We don't sell your data. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account?
Open Viala, go to Profile → Account & Security → Delete Account. If you no longer have access to the app, see the Delete Account page for instructions on requesting deletion by email.
